The Football Foundation offers grants to assist with the purchase of pitch maintenance machinery and equipment as recommended in your PitchPower Assessment Report. The objective is to enhance or maintain the quality of your grass pitch to meet or exceed the Grounds Management Association (GMA) standard of “Good” or higher.
It’s a really simple tool to help you inspect and improve your grass pitches, and help the Football Foundation achieve their ambition to transform grass pitches right across England. Once signed up to Pitch Power account you’ll receive an assessment report on the pitches’ quality, as well as support and recommendations on how to get it match-fit. The aim of FA grants for pitches is to improve the quality of grass pitches, reducing the number of matches cancelled, so more people can keep playing football.
“It has certainly improved the playing surface. Our grass coverage has increased with the density being much thicker due to the regular cutting. It also frees up valuable manpower hours for our volunteer ground staff as they are able to concentrate on other ground maintenance tasks. Hitchin Town FC would recommend the BigMow to all football clubs as the equipment is second to none and the service offered by the staff at AMS is both friendly and effective.”
Lenny Leroux – Head of Ground Management at Hitchin Town FC
We have been delighted with the installation since last August. Throughout the season it has performed beyond our expectation as a replacement for a traditional man and machine. The support from AMS has been brilliant.
